I had a never ending argument with a friend over car chases - French Connection vs Bullitt. He was from NY, I’m from the SF Bay Area so you can guess which we thought was best.

Both are superbly done. Bullitt has the Mustang vs. the Cougar (and the cougar was a much awesomer car IMO) and are instantly recognizable. and the vw pace car. I still go for the intensity of The French Connection tho, even tho the (looks it up) Pontiac LeMans doens’t have the same visual punch as the other two I love seeing Gene Hackman lose his shit.
