I understand that Brent Spiner is playing the Dr. and that’s the gimmick, but I feel like way to often Star Trek takes young actors and puts old people makeup on them instead of actually getting old people for the parts. Maybe there was a shortage of senior actors, or the times where they were recruiting them was at the same time as an early bird special at Dennys or something.
