It’s late (for me and I’m tired) but I should write this before I forget
Mad Max Fury Road is the alternate. Maybe set around say the same time as Beyond Thunderdome but set in an altverse where Max avoided/bypassed The Hummungus’ gang entirely. He’s survived, as always but barely. The V8 goes on. Gas Town is the 7 sisters refinery built up further. The Hummungus’ gang eventually got into the refinery and killed/enslaved all inside. At some point either another band came in, someone with a vision and either defeated the Hummungus or otherwise subverted him from within. He built up Gas Town and founded the Citadel when fresh water was found to be more easily accessible there.
