Thankfully it’s expected to be entirely blocked in the senate, and vetoed by Obama if it were to pass the senate.
This all started because of those Planned Parenthood “reveal” videos came out, which have been proven to have been fabricated by hundreds of video analysts and even the White House.
But this is incredibly
horrible and demeaning not only would this defund Planned Parenthood
(where only 3% of services are abortions, and they can’t use federal
funds to do abortions to begin with) but it would render over 600,000
patients without cancer screenings, HIV/STD testing, birth control, and more.
It gets even worse - if it were passed entirely through congress it would make ANY doctor who performs abortions either accidentally or on purpose would be seen as a criminal in the justice system.
This bill is terrifying and wrong, and hopefully the senate will block it.
