There’s supposed to be a revival sometime soon. The same guys who did the original movie claim that they are going to redo it and make it into a trilogy. Unfortunately they would ignore anything from the series. They said that they would start production after filming the sequel to Independence Day, which has just come out with a trailer. I believe that they hired writers for it in March.
