Colony had a decent premiere,a cookie cutter family we care enough about, including hunk dad, hot mom, moody rebellious teen a cute as a button kid. 

Ok so the table is set for what could be some interesting storytelling about an occupation. Unseen alien species arrives on Earth and separates places into Zone (good luck getting between L.A. and Santa Monica), but they are as of yet unseen. Their tech hovers around, they have their human militia (Homeland or Redhats) and privileged folks and admins (proxy governors), there’s tight control on goods and services(gas/groceries), a culling of the weak (i.e. insulin).

We don’t know what the aliens want but are assured once their needs are met they’ll leave.

There’s also a resistance, blowing shit up but not much else aside from that. The pilot establishes that Holoway, working as a mechanic used to be special forces and while working for the resistance is captured. His cover remains safe not his past and is hired to track down the resistance. Oh and his other son is missing in Santa Monica too since the invasion.

Our Three Main Leads (Holloway, Callies, and Peter Jacobson as the proxy gorvernor) are all old hands so there’s no missteps offhand so it’ll be worth the watch.
