= Vulcan XH558 =
Today marks the final public display flight she will ever conduct making her final appearance at Shuttleworth earlier. She has been flying since her restoration had been completed back in late 2007 and has managed to obtain just over 10% more flying hours than any other Vulcan ever, before she is finally grounded.
This weekend on the 10th and 11th of October will be the last ever chance in which she leaves the ground as the crew are conducting a ‘Farewell Tour’ of Britain. The tour will include fly-pasts of several sites famous for British aviation excellence, as well as other well-known locations chosen to provide good vantage points for supporters. It will bring her flying career to a spectacular close in two sorties to cover the north and south, giving as many people as possible a final opportunity to see the dramatic sight of a Vulcan in the air.
