I was looking at this post again, and it brought to mind something that has always confounded me - what the heck did they use to power that massive lamp?
For this kind of thing, the camera was hooked up to a small battery box, but what about the lights? I’ve yet to see a location picture that clearly shows a power source for those massive arc lamps. I’ve only heard a reference to “small generators” but I’ve yet to pinpoint the type (other than one that’s about the size of a couple of steamer trunks).
