the scenes on Delta Vega mostly work. I just dont know where Delta Vega is supposed to be. it feels like a remote outpost but its really supposed to be close to Vulcan (or in the Vulcan system if its a literal vision of vulcan being consumed.

Also i dont think thats how supernovas work….
