Some good news from Tuesday, a point of sanity on a day when the nation’s electoral judgment went catastrophically astray: Voters in Maricopa County, Ariz., sent Sheriff Joe Arpaio packing. He lost his bid for a seventh term. After 24 years, “America’s Toughest Sheriff” is done.
