yes and no, The original miniseries is worth it for sure, the Final Battle is middling but does have Michael Ironside grumbling a lot. It’s about as subtle as you’d expect from a 80s miniseries. The actual 1980s series however is pure garbage (Kenneth Johnson who created the whole thing left before the series started because he wasn’t happy with the way it was going). 

Way back when in the 90s I actually owned both miniseries in the two and three-vhs box collections. 

the 2000s V was….shruggable, it had the tendency to draw out things way too much imo.
