I imagine this a young(er) Jasper. Maybe sometime during the first battle for Earth? There was also a theory I saw a while ago about how the Crystal gems fought with swords while gems who were still loyal to Yellow Diamond fought with axes. And I like that theory because…battle axes are cool.
