some moderate pitch construction noise is prevalent in the entire neighbourhood and everywhere in my apartment. Like an unending foghorn. fucking fantastic.

Do you have a fan in your home? Maybe a floor fan or a standing fan? You can put that beside your bed facing away from you and turn it on. The white noise a fan produces will often blend and nullify the other noises.

I also use a white noise audio from youtube when I’m trying to sleep at the hotel every Sunday. I just plug in my phone, and place it on the bed right next to my head. Sleep like a baby! It’s just the sound of static and will run for 12 hours. Blocks out everything else.
I’ve had mixed success with white noise generators (usually use the starship ones) but the noise has stopped but I’m very awake now
