Lucretia: “So Merle, how do you manage to keep the faith? Seeing all this stuff how do you manage to stay so inspirational?”
Merle: “All of it is overcompensation. I hate everyone, don’t think I actually offer anything to the team and am just a burden, have never done any good in the world, and am not entirely convinced these gods even exist at this point.”
Lucretia: *downs a MASSIVE GOBLET OF WINE realizing what she has done*
