When that neck appeared in season 6, I was worried that Garak had grown a goiter or a hunchback or something. It’s so… so stumpy. Totally ruins the whole look.

I know that some people like those neck ridges, but personally I think that they are simply hideous and an abomination unto Nuggan. They have no grace or elegance at all, unlike his usual lovely ones.

I can’t even bring myself to try and think of a canon explanation for them. They just look like a complete and utter fail from the prosthetics/makeup department.

He was retaining water. Huge, terrible amounts of water. He doesn’t want to talk about it.
