Highway in the sky….

A long-exposure photo creates the illusion of a highway in the sky….as a commercial jet roars skyward from Portland (Oregon) International Airport.

The 30-second exposure exaggerates the stationary runway lights on the ground….traces the rapid and steep take-off trajectory of the plane in the sky via its in-flight running lights….and gives the overhead clouds a foggy, soft appearance for background.
