Who remembers the first pre-filming publicity shots of Zachary Quinto’s Spock, with terrible wig and fake eyebrows?  For Star Trek (2009) and Into Darkness, Quinto would have his own hair cut into the Spock bowlcut and pluck his own epic eyebrows into points.  Dedication.
