Hey all! In the wake of the climate strikes, I want to take a quick second to let you all know about GoVoteCanada.ca, which is a really great nonpartisan resource for young voters (and all voters) in the upcoming federal election!
You can input your postal code to get more info, find out how to vote if you’re living away for school, see what kind of an impact the youth vote will have in your riding, and pledge to vote to let politicians know that they have to start listening to us if they want to get elected.
It’s super simple– part of the site’s goal is to make it as easy as possible for folks to vote. They’ll even send you notifications about how, where, and when to vote if you sign up for them!
Check it out & I’ll see you at the polls!
Also this feeds directly into what I’ve been saying the past few weeks.
If young people actually vote (as the gif above shows), the NDP actually can win seats that they were normally in 2nd or 3rd place in. Polls do not matter because they assume that the status quo is going to prevail. A massive amount of voters actually showing up is what changes election results.
