Agnes Jurati, receiving the Admonition vision of cataclysm via mind-meld without any warning: throws up a bit, pulls herself together and asks what she can do about it
Either Agnes is one of the toughest nuts in the galaxy or a scene intended to convince us of the terrible terrible-ness of the terrible secret of the Zhat Vash actually just kind of made them look hysterical. And are we supposed to think Nerissa’s more muted reaction to the Admonition indicates that she’s particularly strong and resilient, or simply that she’s such a psychopath she has only a slight emotional response to something that makes other people have a nervous breakdown?
The levels of the thing are all over the place.
