Kathryn lost her father in a tragic accident which would clearly effect her mental state greatly throughout life.

Tom never got along with his father and constantly felt he could ever live up to his standards.

Chakotay had trouble seeing eye to eye with his father’s need to stay so connected to their heritage and later couldn’t understand why his father wouldn’t seek medical help when he desperately needed it.

The Doctor spent time fighting the man who invented the EMH design (basically a holo daddy) to allow him to help with his medical needs.

BE’lanna struggled with her father’s clear prejudice against the maternal side of her heritage and caused her to develop a long standing self hate.

Tuvok…..probably raised his eyebrow at his father from across the dinner table and his father in return raised his as well therefore ensuing a very logical but passive aggressive eye brow  fight of the ages.
