  11. fisularae said: oh my god it was so bad!! man I just - I bow to you and your mum’s completionist tactics because that took Patience. someday I need to watch Legend (because Tim Curry, also Ridley Scott) and apparently she’s in that as well. how did this author afford these names
  12. branmer said: @kanadka also the actress playing the other sister was dreadful. like it ws deeply ironic that she was palying a character who becomes an actress because yikes
  13. branmer said: @kanadka i wish i could have fast forwarded past it but my mum is a completionist ;_____; also YES i agree, that was definitely one of the best scenes in the entire damn thing. he does an excellent angry/bitter person. uuuugh the old timey smush mouth thing. when the other sister kissed her love interest for the first time they did that and it was dreadful and both me and my mum were just like :/
  14. fisularae said: (tho props to them for not doing that weird old-timey smush mouth kiss)
  15. fisularae said: (also potentially hot take but the glass throwing tantrum was vickery’s best acting in the whole thing. he’s so much stronger at playing an angry/embittered person even if it’s for a dumb reason than he is playing a love interest. that bit was…. it was.)
  16. fisularae said: you can definitely tell the author’s husband invested money in hiring decent actors, not in hiring a decent composer for the score
  17. fisularae said: I COULDN’T EVEN WATCH IT I had to fast forward through all of it. ugggghhhh. so awkward and uncomfortable and no bueno!

  19. branmer said: @kanadka also why was the soundtrack like 90% just that ONE song. i wanted to die when i heard it by the end
  20. branmer said: @kanadka original author was absolutely a coward, not impressed. there was indeed MUCH dishonour. i did enjoy the glass throwing tantrum tho - a++ histrionics. also the whole thing with courteney’s character’s first love made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE. god.
  21. fisularae said: anyway, ot3 raising child is clearly superior, original author was a coward
  22. fisularae said: you’re the maddest of lads, I can’t believe. I remember an interview where JV talked about this specific role + BB and how bruce ‘took courteney from him’. not exactly how it happened. (your mum is correct there was Much Dishonour) but also I can’t blame vickery for not having properly read this dreck in the first place
  23. branmer said: @kanadka i watched the entire thing and i watched it over skype with my mum who kept calling vickery’s character ‘DISGRACEFUL!!!’ and generally complaining about everyone’s behaviour which GREATLY improved the entire experience

  25. fisularae said: oh my god did you watch the entire miniseries? I only watched the parts with not neroon and not sheridan and that alone was way more than enough
