Immediately present in my life: The live entertainment industry has been hit hard and honestly I expect if the second wave of virus happen any attempted reopening may close again. There are not enough "other" jobs out there to displace the huge number of entertainment industry professionals that need financial help.


Beyond my life: There are other industries that are going to shrink and lay people off due to lower demand. Restaurants closing, store closing, manufacturing jobs slowing down... The country will not be back at full speed anytime soon. Things will get worse with the economy if there is not some sort of financial support during this time.

On June 29th they ended our furlough 3 months earlier at took away our health insurance with one day notice to figure out something new or take cobra if we had anything pressing. I am. In favor of UBI for everyone and think most "essential" workers should be getting paid more and a govt subsidy too right now. Do want we can for each other rather than only fight for ourselves.
