when I drove across the USA this year, I listened to an audiobook called “Stiff: The Curious Life of Human Cadavers” and a good chunk of it is about what happens when you “donate your body to science”. There’s a nonzero chance that your body could be used for things like being a crash test dummy, or tested being shot by explosive bullets by the military to test stopping power. But usually you end up being sliced up by a med student or a surgeon learning a new technique
