By “this is a start”, I mean it literally. This isn’t the end. This is the beginning of fixing and undoing a horrible system built on white supremacy. Biden winning doesn’t erase the racism, classism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny engrained in society. Our work isn’t done. Things still need to change.
But this means we can ignite change that will last. Biden and Harris are willing to change, willing to improve.
Thank you to everyone who voted. Thank you. Now keep up that spirit.
Keep fighting for Black lives, for the lives of POC, for the lives of immigrants, for LGBTQ+ rights, for disabled lives, for abortion and healthcare, for women’s rights, for climate change, for human rights. This is the beginning.
