Any possibility that Director Hayward is Mephisto?
It’s possible. I kind of doubt it in that Hayward is a bit incompetent, and has actively tried to kill Wanda (something Mephisto likely wouldn’t do).
I’ve no idea what is going to happen in the next few episodes of WandaVision and whether or not Mephisto or Master Pandemonium will be involved. I’m kind of expected the unexpected.
The main villain of the next Doctor Strange movie is supposed to be Nightmare. And Wanda is supposed to be in that film.
Mephisto as Hayward is an interesting idea, but it’s really not Mephisto’s style. Mephisto rarely changes his form to look like someone else. He’s an other dimensional demonic lord of lies. He’s also extremely prideful and vain, like you’d expect. If Mephisto was involved, he’d have tipped his hand by now.
And Mephisto is a major order Marvel villain. He’s an event movie level threat.
Given Wanda’s history, I’d look out for references to Wundagore Mountain and Agatha Harkness.
My lady asked me why the X-Men movie Pietro was brought into Westview, with partial memories of what happened to him Sokovia, but also gaps. My theory is that she cannot bring back the dead. She can, however, bring someone from another version of reality to her own. She shifted him over. As for the Vision, he repairs himself. Ultron designed him to repair himself. And he was powered by the same gem that gave Wanda her powers in the MCU.
The next big movie she’s in is Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. I don’t think the big bad of WandaVision is some outside force. I think that Marvel realized just how good an idea House of M was. Wanda is a good person, but she’s a powder keg.
It’s not nice. It’s not fair. But she even told Pietro: she doesn’t know how she’s doing it. She just... wanted it. And that means that 5-6,000 people are now slaves to making her feel better about her life. There was that meeting in the first issue of House of M where the X-Men and the Avengers discuss how to deal with Wanda. And Wolverine says that they should kill her. For which everyone just kind of quietly looks away or gets mad at him. But you know what? He’s right. How do you teach someone as powerful as Wanda to not change reality whenever she gets sad. You can’t. The best solution for Wanda is the one that no one likes.
Send me hate mail, but I’m not wrong.
You are not wrong, I believe you are right. My partner and I had a thought though. Wanda creates this alternate reality area to cope with her grief. She creates Billy and Tommy and they exist in this area. Technically because they are born with powers they are the first true mutants of the MCU. Outside this area though, like Vision, they wouldn’t survive. So what does Wanda do? Changes reality. Instead of her iconic “No More Mutants” line, we see the opposite. Wanda creates a reality in which mutants exist so she can save her mutant children. House of M reversed but triggered by trauma in the same way. And honestly? I think it would be a huge missed opportunity if they don’t introduce mutants to the MCU in this way.
Yeah. That’s what I’ve been thinking too. That WandaVision is how Feige brings the Mutants into the MCU. And I would not be surprised if Monica’s tech friend she’s going to see is somehow affiliated with the Fantastic Four.
By the way: did you guys notice how Wanda cannot control the boys, her brother, or Vision? She can make everyone else in Westview do and think and behave as she wants, but she has to talk with the Boys, Vision, and her Brother. And they don’t always listen. She couldn’t “make” the boys stop crying, and it seemed really confusing to her.
Monica’s clothing that she was wearing when Wanda threw her out was completely bulletproof. She made a protective outfit for Monica. These puzzle pieces are gonna start coming together pretty soon.
I honestly think they may use her powers as a way to recast/bring back from the dead other people. A new Tony Stark from a different Earth, or maybe explain how Steve is back (since there's been rumors of Chris Evans being back in the suit for something)
Is it too much to ask for a Phil Coulson to show up?
“I thought you were dead?”
“I am here, but I come from a universe where Thanos’ attack sorta fizzled out and no one talks about it any more. ”
