when I started watching star trek: deep space nine I was slightly worried that I wouldn't enjoy it as much, because I started following lots of people in the fandom and thus got a lot of spoilers. I didn't anticipate the fact that I generally have no way of telling what's a fandom in-joke and what's something that literally happened in the show. I'll see a plot summary of an episode in a dozen posts and still not anticipate it actually happening.

anyways I saw the first mirrorverse episode and despite all the "kira's double wants to fuck her" posts I was Not prepared for...that actually being the case.
