I hate hate hate that new Star Trek disposed of the old aesthetic for the ships. Like in TOS and TNG the internal look of the ships looked very lived-in and like something that would realistically carry a large crew for a long period of time. It was practical and hospitable.
Then you have the Star Trek Discovery ship interior, which is a sensory overload nightmare of a work environment where everything is glowing for no reason to look More Like Science Fiction. This looks so irritating to work and do research in.
I know this is literally the dumbest, geekiest shit to complain about, but I really do hate the "it has to look more technologically advanced" direction that modern Star Trek adaptations have taken, it's ugly and uncomfortable. Does anyone else agree, or am I dumb for this?
