Today’s (sorta) rewatch!

The new version of the Director’s Edition. First released in 2000 the movie was more in line with Robert Wise’s vision including a tightened pacing and updated effects. It was released today on Paramount+ (and will get a BluRay 4k release in September).

I enjoyed the Director’s Edition (owned it) and its been a few years since I sat down and watched this version (the rips that were out there….reflected the dvd-only quality so I usually stuck with the newer releases of it, but I’m still keeping that version too).
