Sometimes I think about how Hoshi Sato, a renowned xenolinguist who could have easily spent her entire life safely on Earth, teaching alien languages to people, left her class in Brazil, and went into space to learn even more languages than she already knew, and saw a fuckton of dead bodies on her first week in space, got scared by it (as anyone would) and wanted to go home. But she plucked up her courage and stayed because she’s badass.
