I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but I kind of love Phlox! Especially his budding friendship with T’Pol. They’re such delightful opposites! And his unceasing optimism is kind of refreshing in a Xenophobic time period. THOUSANDS OF AWARDS, PHLOX FOR 2012.
PHLOX APPRECIATION TIME. If I could post the gif of him puffing up like a blowfish I would.
PHLOX MY LOVE. And yes, I’m pretty sure his friendship with T’Pol is my favorite relationship on the show. There were some points where I didn’t give a shit about any of the human characters anymore and just wanted Phlox and T’Pol to get their own damn ship and be like “LOL BYE BITCHES” and have adorable derpy space adventures together without moronic human interference.
Phlox was a well rounded ADULT charachter.
