From a scene from the novel "Fanny Hill" or Memoirs of a Woman of pleasure, written by John Cleland in 1748 while in prison of debtors. The novel was originally published without illustrations, but many editions have featured images of the scenes within the pages. This illustration is from a 1907 publication.
