8. Favourite Romantic Relationship.

Oh you would ask that. TNG doesn’t do well on Romantic relationships. Certainly not with main characters, it’s all Troi related or a guy that lives in his candle. *scratches head* Okay, this is what comes to mind. Odan-in-Riker with Dr. Crusher. Yeah. There…

G. This episode doesn’t age well either as Beverly can’t take Odan’s gender swap at the end.

Can you expand on what you mean by this? It seems like you’re saying it would be more modern (? or more open-minded?) if Beverly had felt the same way about Odan as a woman as she did about Odan as a man, while to me it seems that Beverly can’t feel the same way because she’s just plain straight.

yes.

and I don’t know. She’s perfectly willing to follow Odan in Riker’s Body despite the inconveniences of camaraderie (are they friends?) but as soon as Odan is transplanted to someone with no attachment, it becomes too much for her, which feels like stretching credulity a bit. It is very possible in that there are personal taboos she is unwilling to cross (unlike Riker in admittedly boring The Outcast) this becomes sort of moot with DS9 and the stop getting romantically involved with people from your past lives rule.

BTW runner up, now that I’ve had to think about it, Picard and Kamala from the Perfect Mate. I could see a spinoff of those two doing weekly archealogical digs
