You know, further anent Deanna’s abilities, besides being able to detect cloaked ships in space because she can feel the emotions of the people on board, you know what she should totally be able to do? Detect disguised Founders. No need for messy blood tests; just bring in a Betazoid or half-Betazoid, the Federation equivalent of a drug-sniffing beagle.
Being villains, Founders are naturally incapable of refraining from inwardly gloating over their own duplicitous cunning. Deanna would pick up an inward gloat like *that* (I was snapping my fingers).
She should! She should also be able to discern that it was the lunchlady that was going to poison everyone at Sunnydale High
