I feel like a slight impostor nerd because I never cared for Firefly. The main reason for this is, I didn’t get an opportunity to see it until after it had been cancelled and Joss Whedon had given the lead actor and actress consolation roles in Buffy and Angel.
I can never accept as a hero the dirty sonofabitch that half-blinded my Xander.
It’s just a blind spot that I am not even interested in trying to overcome. Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is enjoyable partly because I’m all ‘SEE I KNEW THAT GUY WAS AN ASSHOLE.’
So maybe my welcome basket will have a series of TNG-cast Star Trek movies that don’t ruin Data’s character development, turn Picard into an action hero and completely ignore the most important part of Worf’s career and personal life.
And the Lost episode ‘The Man Behind the Man Behind the Curtain’ that is all about what Richard was doing all that time on the island and the development and difficulties of his relationship with Ben.
I liked firefly just was no gah-gah over it.
Can I have a full re-write on Voyager? Battlestar Voyager? I mean a full season of consequences?
