I could understand keeping these lines in the scripts if they’d gone with the original make-up concept for Spock, with red skin (abandoned because a lot of viewers still had b/w TV sets and wouldn’t get the point) and a tail (abandoned because with the effects technology available there was no way to make it look not stupid), but to me, pointy ears and upswept eyebrows do not a Satanic resemblance make!
