I’ve got Top Gun playing on the background for now. I’ve never really watched it before (which is weird given my war/air force… fetishism? and the fact that I’ve seen Hot Shots! a gazillion times) but:

1) STRICKLAND! The ship captain is played by the same actor that played Strickland in the Back to the Future movies, and he’s basically playing him the same way.

2) Oh Tony Scott, can I blame you for all of the Michael Bay Dusk/Dawn shots that reign through his movies?

3) DAAAANGER ZONE.

4) Anthony Edwards with hair. always freaks me out. He was spastically balding by the time Miracle Mile came out a couple of years later.

5) mustaches. everywhere. Tom Skerritt’s I expect (airy, did you watch picket fences back in the day? I did) but Anthony Edwards’s?

6) Michael Ironside in an 80s movie and not as a bad guy? (I may revise this later)

6) Val Kilmer being very young and…yeah hot.

7) There are no points for second place. yeah I know a few who tried to foist that attitude on me.
