Oh  so I read MMFR Max#1 earlier and in the first few pages of narration it recaps Mad Max, Mad Max 2 and Beyond Thunderdome, and it is near explicit that Fury Road takes place after all three movies.

In fact Thunderdome itself plays a large role in Max #1
