Located at what is now across Maryland Pkwy from UNLV, Murray & Agnes Wollman’s 160-acre Bar-W was a retreat for divorcees, lodging, and swimming, with water from “one of the best Artesian wells in the area, piped from 800 feet below.” A community of condos called University Crest was built here in the early 70s.
