#AWESOME
In “The Blackout” episode Bernard slurs out a song from “the old country” while talking to his friend’s son. The outtakes show Dylan improvised it and the song had several versions. (bonus: Dylan’s cutest giggle at the end)
‘I live alone in a tree,
I live alone in a tree,
I live alone in a tree,
and nobody loves me.’‘Cows in the morning,
Cows in the morning, 1 2 3
Up and at them,
Up and at them with a pick.’‘I live by the river, with my mother,
In a house.
She washes, I cook,
And we never go out.’'I’m a simple cow, living a simple life,
But sometimes I feel exploi-ted.
Ireland will never be free until,
I can marry my brother.’'Oh, I love you Eileen Biogh,
I love you Eileen Biogh,
I love your feet and your eyes and your face.
I love your knees and your house and your… place,
I love your cows and your mother and your teeth.
I love your cupboards and your loft and your swimming pool,
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you,
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you,
Eileen Biogh,
But leave us alone now for the minute.’

MAD MAX: Fury Road Art book!!
McCarthy Details Long Drive to “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Dream Gang”
Brendan McCarthy is having one hell of a summer. Last month, the out-of-nowhere debut of the darkly beautiful trailer for his film “Mad Max: Fury Road,” which he co-wrote with director George Miller, turned it into one of the most buzzed about films at Comic-Con International 2014, and now this week McCarthy’s highly-anticipated new psychedelic creator-owned series “Dream Gang” debuts in “Dark Horse Presents” #1.
“Fury Road” is the fourth in the post-apocalyptic action series, coming 36 years after the original “Mad Max” and 30 years since the last installment, “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.” The new chapter follows Max, this time played by Tom Hardy, as he flees across the desert from ravaging cannibalistic hordes riding assault vehicles. Debuting this week in “Dark Horse Presents” #1, “Dream Gang” is written and drawn by McCarthy, and follows the adventures of a young man who gets trapped in his own dreams and hooks up with a gang of dream-hoppers.
McCarthy chatted with CBR News about both of his upcoming projects, detailing his long journey in helping “Fury Road” get to the big screen, giving an inside look at his post-apocalyptic design process, and revealing how his wildest dreams led to enigmatic new series “Dream Gang.” (…)
(…) You’re sharing a cover for a never-produced
“Mad Max” comic book for this interview. What’s the story behind it? Was
“Fury Road” ever going to become a comic instead of a film?
No, “Fury Road” was always created to be a live action feature. The comic book cover was just a mock-up to keep a graphic novel or series in the mix. The idea was that I might adapt the script/boards that I wrote with George into a comic book in its own right. It was never used or seen – until now! I assume at some point DC or whoever, will get some “Mad Max” comics out there. It’s a great opportunity to expand on the “Mad Max” universe. There is also a big computer game coming out, concurrently developed with the movie over the last few years. George had a big hand in its conception and took the gaming narrative seriously. I had nothing to do with it, as it happened well after my time on the film.As I haven’t seen the completed movie myself, I can assure you that I am looking forward to it as much as anybody else! It will please me if we have delivered a movie that does justice to the wonderful films that preceded it.
