SUBLIME CINEMA #192 - DARK CITY

Dark City is one of those movies that feels like a miracle of creation, where such intensely original and creative ideas all fit together into a perfect whole. It’s a beautiful neo-noir film - literally, the sun never rises in this movie - and so much more. It’s by far my favorite Alex Proyas film, and could be considered a kind of aesthetic mix between Metropolis and an Edward Hopper painting come to life.

Criminally underrated.
