i will never understand the “soap opera” argument that people throw around with regards to why they think DS9 is bad

so what you’re trying to tell me is that a series that focuses on fully-fleshed out, memorable characters with meaningful platonic & romantic relationships and story arcs that span more than one episode

is like a soap opera

and therefore a bad thing
