What’s interesting about the Liberal victory is that the the following people were soundly renounced by their ridings:

Chris Alexander (Conservative Immigration Minister)

Bernard Valcourt (Conservative Aboriginal Affairs Minister)

given all the fear mongering against certain immigrants and the continued negect/ignoring of the native population that might say something.

To note Gail Shea (Conservative Fisheries Minister, apparently a high profile post as well) was also defeated in PEI, the last blue riding in that province, which has nothing much to do with the other two but more about handing the conservatives a defeat.
