ALL OF THEM

related: a year or so ago my boss walked up to my desk and asked if we had a phone book, and i said, “no, but we have an internet.”

Yes.  All.  I remember once when the power went out and my husband was getting irritated because he couldn’t look up the phone number to report it to the power company on the internet and I went and got the telephone book and silently handed it to him and he just stared at it in awe, like, “I had forgotten the existence of these tomes of ancient knowledge.”

Used all of them except the eight-track (my family missed that period of automotive audio, we went straight from a car with a radio only to a car with a radio and cassette player, and OH BOY WERE WE EXCITED) and the large camcorder, because WE WEREN’T MADE OF MONEY.
No wait! I did use a camcorder of similar vintage when family friends had one! We turned it upside down and made videos of ourselves on the ‘ceiling,’ (Lionel Richie’s ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ was a recent hit) and we put camping mattresses at the bottom of a flight of stairs and filmed each other falling down them and ‘dying’!
Good times, good times.

All but the 8 Track and the Encyclopedia. We aren’t made of money!

And yesterday I saw someone’s personal VHS collection in the trash. made me sad.
