Woman of Star Trek - B'Elanna by Melanarus

This is one of 10 paintings commissioned by Rittenhouse Archives for their 2010 Woman of Star Trek card series. This was the completed painting that was used for the 10 card subset which was also the only original art used for the set, the rest were photos. The art is done 8x10 on heavy board painted by Acrylic Gouache.

Interesting to note, ALL the original art had to approved by the actresses who played the characters, it was a great honor to hear feedback from these wonderful women. Some of them approved our paintings the 1st time we submitted them for approval, some took 1 or more revisions but all of them did have very useful things to say about the artwork of themselves and quite useful. Let’s just say, we learned a lot about painting women from painting these 10 famous beauties!
