I’m sure it’s some sort of fuel tank for the weapon but it always looks to me like Baze is carrying some sort of household appliance on his back, like maybe he cobbled together a weapon using a vacuum cleaner, and THAT reminds me of Eudial’s flamethrower and now I miss Eudial.

I was thinking it’s very atompunk, kind of something you might see in the Fallout Universe.
