Okay, but am I the only one craving some BSG books? I want to be able to read Searider Falcon, Love and Bullets, and Murder on Picon. Even though the most iconic quote from Searider is really Bill improv-ing and telling Laura how he feels (can’t find the link but I’ve seen it on quite a few blogs) I want to read it. I want to know all about the Twelve Colonies in a way we never saw on the show. I just really want the books.

All the marketing about Battlestar Galactica being a reimagination of the original BSG really distracted from how it was also a reimagination of Star Trek Voyager, a show that had only been off the air for two years at the time

I think Ron Moore being so frustrated by Voyager that he quit after 3 or 4 episodes (?) on it in season 6 absolutely played a role in BSG.

Also wanna have a fun Ron Moore-off? Rewatch TNG’s The Defector and BSG’s Hero back to back and watch Ron crib some of his earlier material.
