The part that always makes me chuckle is right before the tailing turns into a high speed chase the driver of the other car realizes “Oh I should put my seatbelt on” and then straps it on across his lap.
And that fucking cougar actually crashing when it wasn’t supposed to!

It took me a second too to figure out what’s missing in this scene. It’s quiet. There are no sounds because the only machines they have in there is the EKGs that print off on graph paper, the rest is all manual input. There’s no background beeping.
I’m rewatching Bullitt for the first time in a long time and I forgot/never noticed that when Steve McQueen and Robert Vaughn first meet he says suggested with a hard “G” which is very disconcerting.
