Batman Returns
#CHILDHOOD
Childhood.
I wanted to bring out something I’ve thought about a lot. That many of the DS9 characters share in having abnormal childhoods; hardships they had to deal with and endure. And in the end, I wish they had come to a better understanding of each other, because they had more in common than they thought.

day 1: Benton Fraser/Ray Kowalski - Due South
What can I say about Ray and Fraser that hasn’t been said better elsewhere? I’m really lucky that my first proper falling into fandom/fic was Due South because a) it’s a beauty of a show, b) there are depths and depths in the show and the characters and especially in the relationship between these two and c) the quality of fic in DS is incredibly high.
A lot of my OTPs seem to be crime fighting duos, probably because I love a good detective story, and the buddy cop trope lends itself very well to OTPs. These two are the ones I judge everyone else against, I think. There’s so much to explore in their personalities and relationship but what I most love about them is that they’re both fucked up, and lonely, and odd underneath it all. But they’re also hot, and adorkable, and funny and snarky. And they find each other, and they fit, like they never fit with anyone else. A lot of OTPs are a bit of a stretch from canon sometimes, but not these two. It’s so close to the surface it’s practically text. And god bless Paul Gross for that ending, because where else does your OTP ride off into the sunset sled off into the territories together?
In any OTP there’s always someone I like the most, and I’m always gonna be a Ray K girl because - dork and punk and hair and fuckup and goof and shoulderblades and the fucking nape of his neck. And all of Ray’s awesome clothes. But I love Fraser almost as much, because - Fraser.
