Boxing Day Boxers: Part 9 – Tucker 48, 1948. AKA the Tucker Torpedo, was powered by a rear-mounted flat-6 boxer motor that was derived from an aircraft engine. The Franklin O-335 was made by Air Cooled Motors and was converted to water cooling by Tucker's engineers. The 334ci (5.4 litre) flat-6 was good for 166hp. Only 51 cars were made including prototypes before the company was forced to declare bankruptcy and cease all operations on March 3, 1949.

LUKE (whiny teenage boy voice): Yo, dog

YODA (voice like Kermit the frog but deeper and older): Penny for your thoughts.

LUKE, with agitation and increasing tempo: I hate Brenda, and a- bad guy hit me in the shin and I peed all on my pants!

YODA, throatily: Heh heh heh.
[jaunty dance music begins]
YODA: It’s nothin’ a little music can’t help!
[Yoda sings]
Rockin’, rockin’ and rollin
Down to the beach I’m strollin!
But the seagulls poke at my head NOT FUN!
I said seagulls! MM! Stop It Now.
[beat]
Hmm ah hmm hmm hmm ah hmm hmm ah hmm hmm hmm ooh hahh hmm ah hmm hm-hm-hm-h-hm haaah!

[music stops]

LUKE: Uh.. yeah, whatever, you’re sorta pitchy..

YODA, disappointed: Mmm.. :(
