I really wish we could have seen more of them. Each has an interesting story. I mean you’ve got:
Tryla Scott, who made captain faster than anyone in Starfleet history.
Captain Rixx, who’s just plain weird (he’s supposed to be a Bolian but the makeup was never like this again)
And Walker Keel, who’s got a past with Picard, Picard owes him something, something big. And then he dies.
Conspiracy, one of my faves from season one (so gory U.K. censors hacked the episode to pieces) has a cute flub at the beginning as Riker asks LaForge to increase speed:
It wasn’t caught by anyone on set but I just imagine it’s the end of the year, LaForge is tired of taking Riker’s orders his promotion to chief engineer is a done deal I’m gonna go however fast I want you jackass. Now Riker’s sitting on this insubordination turd and it’s just turning counterclockwise and he’s not sure how to deal with it and Deanna’s looking dammit I’d be do something….
